In which I post layouts I created over a month ago

Layouts from May? Really? Yup. That is how old some of these are. So what did I create back in May?

This layout is a blast from the past - my first classroom when my mom and aunt (both former teachers) visited.

I used CTMH's Typset paper pack. I love these papers - especially the grid - perfect for journaling.

I also used the Complements Canvas Shapes.
Love the texture of the canvas and they coordinated perfectly with my papers and my theme!

I used the milepost shapes, black tape and metal elements to keep with the theme and embellish. I love the way the arrows focus your attention.

Check back soon to see what else I was up to in May. Who knows, next week I may move on to June!

Sometimes things just come together. That is what happened with this layout. I took some photos at my school on January 12 as a part of my Project 12 for this year (layouts are coming, really, I promise.) The photos didn't end up on my January 12 layout, but I liked them and knew I wanted to use them for something. The current challenge at Challenge Me Happy is "10 years ago...". I loved this idea so I started counting back to see what I could document. It turns out I was a professional crossroads 10 years ago.

The journaling near the photos gives a snapshot of what was happening. I included longer journaling on a hidden tag behind the front photo. Writing the journaling took me back to the unhappy place where I was 10 years ago, but I'm glad I recorded it. I don't have many layouts about my day job, but I want to remember it. I want to remember how I got to where I am today.
